Would you like to play a game?

The boys competed in the Bartlesville Chess Club annual school chess tournament today. Zach played really well! After 4 matches, he entered a 2 game play-off tie breaker for second place in his division. He won the first and lost the second match, so he came in third place overall. He was disappointed to not come home with the second place trophy. We are super proud of him and pointed out to him that he played TWO more matches than the kid who won first place, for a total of SIX matches today- which makes him super-awesome!!!! He did come home with a ribbon and medal and used a few moves learned from Grandpa Cliff in his matches today!

Ashton also did well with two wins, one loss, and one tie!

Afterwards, we all went to Jareds for ice cream to celebrate the boys'achievements AND having Grandpa Cliff and Grandma Dixie here to visit!
