Chokladsnittar!

Recuperating well today. Lazy morning. Laundry. Lunch at La Fiesta. A trip to the grocery store. And now making yummy Swedish chocolate shortbread cookies in honor of Greg, Jenny, and Wyn and our fabulous trip to Sweden, made in the shapes of stars and fireworks to celebrate a late 4th of July!

Thanks for the Swedish cookbook G, J, and W! Derek and I will take them in to work tomorrow to help celebrate "Fika" with our coworkers. Fika is a Swedish social phenomenon, a tradition observed frequently, preferably several times a day and a legitimate reason to set aside a moment for quality time. Accompanying sweets are crucial!

  1. These look delicious! I'm glad you were finally able to make them...our trip just flew by and there wasn't a chance! Have a fantastic week and good luck getting over jetlag. We've finished the laundry so the beds are ready for you to come back ;) To the grandparents, we've posted a few extra pictures on our blog. What a great trip!
