Springing into Easter!

As you could probably tell from recent posts, we had a nice Easter weekend visit with Grandpa Randy and Grandma Peggy.  Our weekend was filled with games, Easter egg hunts, and of course great food!  G&G arrived late Thursday night.  Friday Derek and I had a holiday, but both boys were in school.  So we had a nice lunch at Frank and Lolas with Grandpa and Grandma.  The Easter atmosphere was everywhere downtown, even the famous bull at F&L was decked out with bunny ears.

Saturday we spent a lot of time outside in the great weather, concluding the day at the Drillers ballpark in Tulsa.  I started both Friday and Saturday off with long runs on the pathfinder.  Sunday we also spent most of the day outside and are still recovering from eating steak and veggie kabobs on the grill with Grandma's famous beer marinade!  (total yum!)

This morning, the kids  got to go in late to school as we went to the post office to apply for their passports.  Of course this process took 2 hours!  I had all of the paperwork and pictures ready to go, but who knew that everyone else had the same idea.  THEN the postoffice complained that all of our paperwork was on double-sided printouts, not the proper single-sided (no where are these "secret" directions written in the instructions).  So, I had to rewrite all of the applications, including Derek's passport reapplication (his passport was expired).  So ARGH!!!!!!  However, after dropping off the boys at school at 10:45am, went home for another hour before picking Derek back up from work and having a nice Chinese buffet lunch with Mom and Dad before they headed back to the airport.  Now I am finishing up laundry and other odds and ends before heading to the gym for my strength training class and boys' swimming lessons.  It will be really tough to go back to work tomorrow!
