Maniacs!

We have mainly been cooped up inside this weekend due to the massively rainy weather (our backyard is a mudd pitt- just ask Snickers...).  Yesterday was filled with house cleaning activities in preparation for a visit from Grandpa Cliff and Grandma Dixie this coming week.  (I am definitely hiring housekeepers when we move back to Bartlesville!).  We then at an early dinner at Chuy's and visited the grocery store for some odds and ends. 

Zach and I then worked on his big school project together for a while late afternoon.  He is researching sea lions.  He must answer the following questions using 3 different sources.  He has to keep a research log and will be making a flipbooks about the facts he learns about his animal.  Then by April 13 he must have a "product" (NOT A POSTER) that is creative and original which showcases his research about his animal.  This product will be presented on April 17th at his school's research fair.  He will also be giving an oral presentation to his class about the animal. 
Here are the questions that he must answer:

1) What is the classification of the snimal?  Are the babies born live or do they hatch?
2) Describe the animal's habitat.
3) What are the animal's predators and prey?
4) Give a physical desciption of the animal.
5) Give a desctiption of how the world would be different without the animal.
6) List fun facts about the animal. 

So, we have learned quite a few interesting facts about the California sea lion.  We have two more sources to go with many more fun things to learn.  Be sure to ask Zach about it next time you talk to him! (And if you have any cool ideas for a "project" - let us know!) 

This morning we got up late thanks to the stupid time change.  Booooo!!!!  We had a nice breakfast of waffles and sausage.  Later today we will be taking hoards of stuff to Goodwill (starting the pre-move purge).  I will probably do some training/reading for work in the afternoon. 

The guys are currently being lego maniacs while I skype with Greg and Jenny!
