Year of the Dragon

Zach has been learning about Chinese New Year in his art class where he created a dragon to ward off evil spirits.  How cool!  The dragon is made with popcycle sticks like a puppet so you can make him dance.

As Zach is so interested in this part of Chinese culture, we will likely be going out to view an authentic celebration including traditional dragon and/or lion dancing next weekend.  (Such are the delights of living in a big, multcultural city!)  To be continued!

As you can see, Ashton has augmented the dragon dance to include a dragon delicacy - the tasty cow!
