Due to a friend's Christmas card, which featured a picture of their purebred dog, we now know that Snickers must be mostly Catahoula Leopard Dog. Yay! Same sleek body type and coat, floppy ears, brindle markings, etc. We know she must be a mix through because she is ~15-20 pounds lighter than the average female. Derek and I think that this is ironic because we almost adopted a little catahoula pup back in 1999, but instead came home with Jake. You can read more about catahoulas on wikipedia. Apparently, if feeling neglected, they will eat your house. In Snickers' case, she eats underwear...
