Out and About...

After cleaning the house (sooooo much fun), we had a picnic lunch outside with hotdogs on the grill, chips, cheese, carrots, and applesauce for dessert.  We then got out the bike carrier and tandem attachments and went on a family bike ride through our neighborhood and on the local hike/bike trails.  It was really fun.  (Sorry- no pictures... we forgot to take a camera...)  In all I think we went about 6 miles, but pulling both the boys is hard work.  Zach did great "helping" me pedal the tandem bike (put it this way- we didn't fall over or run into anyone else...).  Ash enjoyed his ride.  Derek and I will surely be sore tomorrow - but in a good way.  I am already sore from my long run yesterday as well as all of the walking we did at the rodeo.  We stopped at the park by our house on the way home to play a bit and then did more playing outside in our own backyard.  We are now inside.  Laundry is done- yay!  Boys are taking a bath (so much for my clean bathtubs...).  Then we are going to eat dinner (not sure what yet...peanut butter and jelly is looking more and more appealing by the minute...) and watch a show (probably Pinky and the Brain cartoons).  Zach is on spring break tomorrow, so he will have "The Science of Dirt" camp this week at daycare.  Work should also be quiet as most people will be out.  It will be nice to actually get something done for a change!  We are counting down the days til Zach's birthday next weekend!
