And another weekend goes by...

Here are some more pictures from our fabulous weekend with Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Cliff.  We took a walk down to the park and onto the walk/bike trail near our house and grilled almost every day.

 Ashton wearing Grandpa Cliff's hat!
Sunday, Zach attended a birthday party for one of his classmates at Monkey Joes, a birthday "warehouse" specializing in inflatables - inflatable slides, inflatable trampolines, etc.  He had a blast.  Grandma Dixie and Derek went along to "enjoy" all the shrieking children while Grandpa Cliff, Ashton, and I stayed home and enjoyed the calm, QUIET outdoors!

Monday, Derek and I took Ash to his yearly cardiology checkup. He was good as gold through the EKG and echo sonogram (takes about an hour for both procedures). He was very serious through the testing, but lightened up as we waited for the doctor to come in with the results beaming his cute smile and talking up a storm.

Great news- all looks super and he will not have to be seen again for 2 years!  Yay!! Yay!! Yay!! As I was tucking him in to bed last night I told him what a good boy he was at the doctor and he said "Yes, good heart." and put his hand on his upper chest.  It brought tears to my eyes :)

Zach has had two great days at school with all green smilies!  Yay!!!! (This is after a rough week at school last week transitioning in after Spring Break).  If he hangs on again tomorrow he gets to have a trip to the treasure box!!!!  Keep him in your thoughts tomorrow and root him on!!!!  Today was a special day at his school (Barbara Bush Elementary) because Mrs. Bush came for a visit.  She brought her puppy to meet all of the students and read the book "Good Night Houston" to the whole school during an assembly.  Zach said she was a very nice woman, "but not at nice as my Grandma Dixie or Grandma Peggy." :)

I am excited because on April 8th I will be going on a field trip with Zach's class to the farm.  Should be a blast.  We will keep you posted!

So, unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Grandpa and Grandma Kunze today as they headed home to Indiana.  We can't wait for their next visit!  (Plus we can bribe them back with the alarm clock that we bought for the guest room after work today when we stopped at CVS for allergy medicine for Zach!)

Ok- time for some Walking Dead Zombie action and then bedtime!  (Big day tomorrow.  My boss actually managed to send me a new assignment while he is on vacation in Italy.  I am completely psyched!!!!)
