Ashton Turns Two!

Happy Birthday Ashton!

The day started with omelets and opening presents.

Derek and Zach worked together to make Ash his birthday cake.  Zach did an excellent job sifting the sugar for the frosting.  It sure made the house smell good.   

We celebrated with cake after eating BLTs.  Uncle Greg and Aunt Jenny saved the day!  We bought candles at the store yesterday, but sometime during the day they "disappeared" from the kitchen counter (I found them 10 minutes ago in the kid's downstairs toy bin...).  Luckily, the Christmas present given to us by Greg and Jenny had festive big red candles that we could use as a temporary substitute!  Yay!!!! 

The cake was apparently a big hit!  

We just finished an early bath to play with the fun bathtime gift from Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Cliff.  both boys loved it!  ...And it did not cause the bathroom to get too soaked!!!! :)
