September Goings-On

We Millers have been keeping busy.  We had a fun visit with Grandma Peggy last week.  Swimming lessons started last Monday.  Both boys are enjoying it very much.  Zach is doing especially well.  He is jumping in all by himself and learning to glide with his head in the water.  His behavior at school is improving as well- we have many Iron Man stickers on the calendar!  He is especially good on days after he has swimming - must use up all that stored extra energy.  Friday, Mom and I spent the afternoon in Tulsa- eating at Olive Garden for "soup, salad, and breadsticks", a stop at JJill, and a chai latte at Starbucks.  We were very sorry to take her back to the airport on Saturday!  After dropping Mom at the airport, the 4 of us went in to Owasso for some shopping as Zach needed some new shorts and shoes.  He was thrilled because we found a pair of kids New Balance sneakers with orange trim!  At Target, we found a cute tricycle for Ash (decided to get him one as the boys are always competing for the big wheel).   He is just about 1 inch too short, but he will soon get the hang of it.  Saturday night Derek and I battled and triumphed over orcs and other Dungeons & Dragons creatures with our friends Christine and Patrick.  We spent most of the day Sunday yesterday doing yard work and playing with the boys.  We all watched Disney's "The Princess and the Frog" together after an early dinner.  Today was fun as we had a picnic dinner together before swimming lessons.  I packed sandwiches, potato salad, fruit and drinks.  We sat outside at picnic tables out in the courtyard in front of the company rec center downtown.  It was very pleasant. After being outdoors so much, my allergies are really acting up.  So I am going to go zombie-out on the couch!
