Saturday SunFest Fun

What a day (and it is not even over yet!).  We started the day with a yummy breakfast of eggs, potatoes, and toast (with strawberry jam).  Zach drew a nice picture of it while waiting for everything to be cooked.  He also included bacon in his drawing, but we did not have any.  I don't know which looked yummier, Zach's picture or the real thing!  (Below, Ash enjoying a piece of toast- picture taken by Zach)

Around 11am, we headed over to Sooner Park for the local SunFest festivities.  We watched the fantastic K9 Flyers catch frisbees.  Our favorite was a Jack Russel named Moses who could jump really high.

Then we lunched on Indian Frybread Tacos (hot dogs for the boys) while listening to a festive steel drum band. We ran into all sorts of friends during our outing- What Fun!

This evening we will be attending a "Paris Party" and cookout at the home of some of our friends.  Should be a blast!

In other news, Zach has started Summer Camp at one of the local Elementary Schools.  The program is really nice with all sorts of activities for the kids.  This week he was discussing sailboats and even made a little one out of wood.  Wednesday included a trip to the local bowling alley (apparently Zach bowled with a neon green ball), and Friday the "Littles" (as his class is called) went to the local Splash Pad for some water fun.  In the coming weeks in June, he has more class trips planned to the Splash Pad as well as to the Tulsa Zoo, Chuckie Cheese, and the Tulsa IMAX movie theater!  (Gee, summer camp sounds a lot more fun than work!)  We can't wait to see what fun will be scheduled for the month of July!
