Wild Entertainment

We spotted a snail on our deck this morning. 

The boys were fascinated.  Zach even drew a very nice portrait of it.  Nature is definitely more entertaining than TV! 

Zach's class has also been raising 6 quail chicks which they hatched from eggs in an incubator.  He drew some really nice pictures of them and gave us an update on their progress every evening.  The last week of school is next week, so the quails were given back so that they can be released in the wild.  What a great learning experience for the kids!
