Saturday Easter Egg Hunt

I woke up this morning and went out for an 8 mile run with the girls. (Thanks Stacie for making us work hard! - I needed it to justify all of the Easter sweets!!!!).

We then met our friend's Cris and Rosa Lewis and their three girls at Woolaroc for an Easter Egg Hunt. Most of the animals (longhorns, buffalo, ostriches, deer, elk, etc) were out enjoying the nice weather and we had some great views/encounters on the drive around the park. The egg hunt at the museum area was nicely done as the hunts were divided up by age group, so the smaller kids did not get trampled by the bigger kids. Both Ash and Zach did a great job collecting eggs- Ash's contained a bunch of stickers, plastic rings, and tootsie rolls and Zach made out with all sorts of candy and about 15 small smiley face bouncy balls in various colors. Ash and I on the hunt!!!

Zach demonstrating eggstraordinary collecting skills! (He is the one with the hood up holding the orange bucket in the middle of the picture.) Loot!!! (Luckily they let you recycle the plastic eggs so you don't have to take those home too!!!)

Ash and buddy Carmen! They loved handing plastic eggs to one another and banging them together!

After egg hunting, throwing rocks in the pond, playing in the children's play area, and going to the petting zoo, we headed back to Bartlesville for a cookout and more play. We had a great time together and plan to get together again soon with hopes to meet up for an outing at the Tulsa Zoo and park!

(By the way, Tracy passed her defense with flying colors on Friday and is now officially Dr. Hammon! She has documented the event on her blog http://www.smalltownfish.blogspot.com/. Here is a picture of us together eating lunch at the Thai Noodle House near the Oklahoma State University campus celebrating her achievement!!! Congrats Tracy!!!)
