Fun at the Drive-In

Our family went to the Drive-in in Tulsa last night with Mike and Tracy Hammon and family to see Star Trek. The boys had a great time before the movie playing football and soccer in the field in front of the screen. The weather was great- clear, dry, and a bit on the cool side. Ash even decided to get in on the action after snoozing in the car on the way down. Both of our families came loaded with goodies. We Millers had all things Haribo gummy, including gummi bears and Happy Colas. Zach enjoyed eating animal crackers and sucking down 3 juice boxes (thirsty after running with all of the other kids!). Tracy and I felt no guilt about eating goodies as we were out on the trail that morning at 7 am running for 6 miles (Yay us!!!). Unfortunately Zach was a bit restless during the movie (way past his bedtime), so we only heard about 1/3 of the dialog as he decided to be SUPER ANNOYING for the other 2/3 of the movie. Ash was quiet once he zonked out. So, Derek and I are looking forward to watching the movie again when it comes out on DVD (or before that if we get a chance to get to the movie theater sans kids). We are gearing up for a boring Sunday of laundry and quiet time as Zach is still majorly grouchy from being up so late. We may go on a walk down to the park later once everyone is a bit more rested.

In other news, we also just found out that our good friends, Cris and Rosa Lewis and Family, from New Mexico will be moving to Ponca City, OK soon as Cris is taking a job with a small start-up firm there. PC is only an hour and fifteen minutes from Bartlesville, and Derek and I are frequently there on business as COP has a refinery there as well as our sister Technology center. It will be great to be able to get together with the Lewis' again on a regular basis. We have missed them! They have three girls, two of which are of similar age to Zach and Ash.
